Is JIT a part of Six sigma , is that a part of TQM…I keep reading about them separately but they strike me as very similiar…all go for measurement, efficiency waste reduction customer satisfaction etc…
Six Sigma is to reduce and eliminate defects to cut down on waste, more geared toward manufacturing
JIT is a strategy for reducing inventory to cut down on waste
TQM is geared toward customer satisfaction.
The goals are basically the same (save money) but each has a slightly different application.
