I would like to take a six sigma green belt certification test online, but I want to make sure that it’s going to be the same validity as if I were to take it from an in person class. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Online Certification companies don’t have accreditation like schools. What they do is go for ISO (International standards Organization) Certification. Brainbench is the best known of these cert places. They are ISO 9001-2000 certified and many companies are accepting their certificates because they are getting known and considered legitimate.
Getting a Cert from Brainbench is not the same thing as a accredited college degree, but they can be used as a credential while you work gradually on a degree.
Other Cert companies may have ISO certification and be just as legitimate, but if Employers have never heard of them, they may think it’s a scam and pass you over.
Do careful research on everything before you pay out. There ARE a lot of scams out there.
