I also have more than 23 years as an accountant/corporate finance manager. I have experience in budgeting, business modeling/planning, variance analysis, process improvement, project management, team building and many other corporate and business related functions.

I have a goal to start my own logistics related company, but I need more industry specific experience. I’ve tried driving the big trucks to get connected to some shippers and to familiarize myself with the shipping culture. I have also certified as a transportation broker, but don’t have any experience in this area yet. I’m trying to decide what kind of work/job would provide the most education and training that would be the most beneficial toward my goal. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I really want to work part-time throughout my remaining academic years. I’m a business management student and have yet two years to complete my undergraduate degree. I want to apply for a job position which will help me develop and complement what I’m studying, give me the relevant experience necessary as I want to progress towards an MBA course.

I’m not too sure what career options are available for me, I mean, considering I’m fresh from the block, a work in progress, yet to acheive a full BA degree; I have some experience working with my local community centre, I can probably gain extra managerial experience by asking them involve me more intimately in the managerial processes, but that’s a long shot assuming they even allow me in.

I need suggestions; positions that would be best suited for me, of course any advise will be helpful to me.
